Dozer - Operation & Safety v2.0.0LVH5 (SSDOZ)

Description
Dozer - Operation & Safety is part of VISTA's growing family of Silver Series online training programs, which are 1-2 hours in length and are delivered via the web. These bulldozer training programs are ideal for new operator training as well as refresher training for experienced operators.

More than any other type of heavy equipment, dozers are in the thick of things, encountering many types of materials and ground conditions as they handle tasks throughout the worksite, such as pushing truckloads of material over dumps, building lifts and cleaning up work areas. It takes a highly skilled operator to do these jobs safely and efficiently.

The content of this course is focused on these key areas:

Lesson 1 - Introduction: In this lesson, trainees will see a course overview and learn about the importance of operator responsibility, safety, and the operator’s manual.

Lesson 2 - Getting to Know Your Dozer: This lesson covers the components of the dozer and describes the monitoring system in place to provide warning signals and indicators to alert the operator when something is wrong.

Lesson 3 - Pre-use and Post-use Inspection: Inspection is an important aspect to maintaining a safe work environment for operators and other workers, which is why this lesson covers each part of the dozer’s inspection in depth. Helps trainees understand how to identify areas with broken or missing parts before and after use.

Lesson 4 - Operation: This lesson discusses each important aspect of operating the dozer safely, including starting the engine, controlling machine parts, and possible hazards to safe operation. Maneuvering and parking are also covered.

Lesson 5 - Dirt Operations: This lesson emphasizes the importance of communication among operators while also focusing on how to handle materials, steering, and dozing methods.

Dozers are large, expensive machines. That means their operators must be productive and efficient to help their employer gain a decent return on its significant investment in these machines. This program will help arm your trainees with what they need to become top-notch dozer operators.

Trainers: Before you begin classroom or field training, why not provide your trainees with a solid foundation of knowledge about the equipment and how to operate it safely? This web-based training course can be delivered any time, anywhere.
